Model, muse, adventurer and Art House Media collaborator, Jami Logan has been a long time fan of Method of Denim, rocking our merch tshirts on her adventures, and it’s great to finally get a chance to work with her on a jacket collab. Jami customised our Black Free Pour Trucker Jacket. Purchased her design jacket here.
A northern New South Wales fixture of the scene, she lights up the coastal beaches with her feel-good mantra. Whether it is wheels or waves, Jami is always on the move and we finally caught up with her to tell us how she rides.
Where do you reside:
Port Macquarie in NSW but you can find me on beaches all along with Eastern coast.
What does collaboration mean to you?
It's the creation of something that never used to exist. It's about working together to create something incredible that no one has ever seen before.
Death row meal?
I’m a sucker for seafood and pasta so probably a hectic Seafood Linguini of some kind.
What’s your poison?
A corona with 2 limes or a Long Island iced tea, depending on my mood.
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
I have just got my first bunch of tattoos. I feel like it's made me a lot more open to doing things that might be a bit risky and could spark judgement.
What’s your anthem?
It surprises some people, but I’m actually a massive heavy metal fan. Anything Parkway Drive gets my blood pumping. My favourites are Carrion and Wishing Wells.
Can’t live without?
My clothes are how I express myself. Nothing empowers me more and feel confident.
Words to live by?
It’s a good day to have a good day! That’s why I have it on my jacket.
Sum up your style in three words?
Diverse, Bold, Statement-making.
What does sustainability mean to you?
Leave a healthy world behind for the next generation.
What does self-expression mean to you?
Doing shit exactly the way you want to without caring what anyone else thinks.
What does style mean to you?
It's an art form really. It's how we all express ourselves.
Tell us about your most treasured piece of denim?
It would have to be my M.O.D jacket. It has everything I want to say written on it, and when I wear it I feel like I'm getting those words out there. That feels special to me.
Tell us a story about when you have worn that denim?
My denim jacket makes an impact when I wear it, and that makes me feel good rocking it. It has literally stopped traffic in my hometown on the coast.
What’s coming up next for you?
I like to just keep moving and keep finding new things to work on. I am looking forward to being part of the Method showcase at Melbourne Fashion Week as part of their spring launch. I have always wanted to do something as creative as this. Method has really let me create something special. I loved making my day-to-night-to-day video. What you can’t see is all the traffic slowing down to watch me skateboard down the hill.
