We want your collab experience to be enduring, meaningful and sustainable. We are not a 'fast fashion' brand and we cherish sustainability. We figured out a great way of production - your item is only made after you place your order. We have zero inventory and we’re implementing the most sustainable practices available to us to ensure we’re reducing to the best of our ability. Your creative DNA has taken a lifetime to bloom and so it takes only a modicum of time for our craftspeople to produce it for you, yet we know you are keen to know how it all happens or where your order is. Here are some answers before you begin your Method of Denim adventure.

Why bespoke and pre-order only?

Mass-producing product results in tonnes of waste in landfill and unnecessary processing power. By only producing denim on demand, we're doing our bit to take a stand against fast fashion. This process takes time and we will keep you up to date via email with the progress of your order throughout.

How do I pay for my order?

All payments are made using Shopify Secure payment system and accepts all major cards like Visa, Mastercard, AMEX Debit as well as some newer payment systems such as Afterpay, Google Pay, PayPal and Apple Pay. How long does my garment take to make?
Once we have your measurements, your bespoke pattern is then cut, sewn and distressed by hand and given to our boutique washhouse to create the jeans of your dreams. We aim to get your customised denim to you within 4-5 weeks of ordering.
Don’t worry, we’ll be keeping in touch throughout the process until your denim arrives at your door. Keep an eye on your inbox.

How long will my order take?

Your order can take weeks to hand-make, so your patience in the pursuit of the personal is appreciated. We have technology on our product pages that estimates customisation requirements and when you order will arrive. From check –out we send you regular emails to tell you where it is and when it is on its way to the delivery address you gave. Jackets, sweats and Ts can take 1 – 2 weeks, bespoke denim jeans 3 – 4 weeks depending on where you are in the world. Delays with couriers are out of our control but we do the best to get your order to you as soon as possible. If your order is for a special occasion, please make sure you have allowed sufficient time given to you during the ordering process. We cannot be held responsible for products arriving after special occasions if the order has not been placed in a reasonable timeframe to cut, make and ship.

Do you deliver anywhere in the world?

If you live across the seas and you’re happy to cover the cost of shipping (and wait a little longer for your custom piece), then who are we to say no? Reach out if this is you, and we’ll send over a quote if you cannot see the right delivery options for your country. Any duties or local taxes are the responsibility of the customer and we do not have details of what they will be for every country. 

As we are an Australian brand, deliveries to Australian addresses are currently complimentary as we want to show our love for our brothers and sisters down under.

Do you offer an express delivery option?

Denim isn’t made in a day. Each garment is a one of kind masterpiece designed by you, made by us. Quality takes time and at present, our turnaround is between 4-5 weeks from the design stage to your door. We promise it’s worth the wait.
For all Custom Basics, you can expect the order in 1/2 weeks.

I’ve placed my order. How do I know when my denim will be ready?

Don't worry, we’ll keep you in the know! Email alerts will be sent to you throughout the delivery window process, keeping you up to speed on the progress. 

How can I track my order?

Email alerts will be sent to you throughout the delivery window process, keeping you up to speed on the progress. Once your denim has undergone its final quality control check, you’ll be emailed a tracking number. 

I have ordered multiple customised products, will they all arrive together?

Depending on your order, all items will be dispatched when ready. We do not have the fast fashion/Amazon fulfilment facilities to hold orders to bundle and we think you probably want your gear sooner rather than later.

How do I design my own denim?

"Help, I need some design inspiration" is a common feeling when starting out on this journey so we have asked some of our crew to get you started.

My denim looks slightly different from what was displayed on the website 
Whilst we aim to represent the washes as accurately as possible online, washes may vary ever so slightly depending on the custom wash cycle of your piece or due to your screen resolution. Each piece is unique and as a natural product, the dyes absorb into the cotton with small variations. The washing of your denim is advised in "Devils Is In The Details" on the product page, if we think you need to know more about maintaining a certain colour wash, such as Blacks and Raw denim then checkout "Your Denim, Your Laundry" in our footer for more details. 

Can I design my own patch for my garment?

We don’t offer custom patches or artwork at this stage, but please contact us here just in case we can work some magic for you.

Do you offer custom designs for garments?

The text is all yours. Use any of the available fonts to customise any text you want. We also have an epic range of pre-designed graphics for those interested in collaborating. If that’s you, reach out via our contact form. Just remember not to infringe other people’s copyright by copying trademarked logos or passing off any likenesses to people or their art. Be you, everyone else is taken.

How do I delete my designs?

Not exactly what you had in mind? To delete your design, simply remove it from your cart and the product will be removed. It will be as if it never happened.

Can I cancel all or part of my order?

Just contact us as soon as possible to understand where your order is in the process. If the product is already made then we cannot cancel that part of the order. Reach out to us here 

I am a woman and I like men’s jeans and their fit, can I still use the customizer in Men’s Jeans?

Great question and the answer is, hell yes. Where does anyone think the term ‘boyfriend’ fit came from and we have fans that used to prefer to wear their brother’s old denim because the fit was so epic after a year of wearing in? We get that. We only stream customers into men’s and women’s areas of products to help make navigation of the website easier but buy what you want for who you are. Just be aware that with men’s denim jeans the crotch to waistband depth is not as deep as it is on the women’s ranges but that is more about style than any gender reference. I need to return one of my pieces from a larger consignment, what should I do?

Can I pickup an order from a store?

At the moment we do not have a wholesale operation or stores so until we have the next phase of our business underway we can only deliver direct to the address you have given us.

Can I arrange corporate/team/wedding custom garments?

Does Method of Denim offer any group discounts?
